About

Empowerment, Resilience, and Compassion

Greetings, I'm Courtney McKinnon, and I'm more than just a therapist - I'm your partner on the journey to healing and growth. Under the supervision of Sarah Cabler LPC-S. My therapeutic philosophy revolves around empowerment, resilience, and compassion. Holding a bachelors degree from the University of Alabama and a masters degree from the University of North Alabama I have gained a strong foundation in psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My areas of specialization include: anxiety, depression, complex trauma, dating violence/abuse, self-harm behavior, and suicidal ideation. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. Together, we'll explore and develop the skills and mindset you need to make positive changes, create a life you desire, and embrace a future full of possibilities.
